About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Must be licensed to practice in South Carolina Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, EPIC experience preferred Must-Have: 1 year of experience required unless otherwise stated Ability to work some holidays Local candidates accepted Description: The role involves providing nursing care to patients in a Progressive Care Unit. Nurses will be responsible for overseeing patients with critical care needs. They will monitor vital signs and manage cardiac drips, including no titration. Nurses will assist in the management of dysrhythmias and provide post-operative care for cardiac interventions. The patient ratio is 4-5 patients per nurse, ensuring focused care. Interdisciplinary support will be available, including pharmacy, respiratory services, and physical therapy. Ideal candidates will possess strong skills in cardiac telemetry and high flow nasal cannula management. Individuals should have experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and interpreting dysrhythmias. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Weekend work is required, with the expectation to cover some holidays. Candidates must provide two supervisory references as part of the application process. Nursing staff may be required to float within the facility or to nearby affiliate facilities.
