Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Schedule

DAYS 7AM - 7:30PM (3x12s) - Will consider 48-hour guarantee

Job Description

The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care of the patient in the Emergency Department; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to Emergency Room patients
• Utilize critical thinking and scientific judgement in patient assessment and planning
• Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Emergency Room nursing
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Arizona RN license required
• Charge nurse experience preferred (additional compensation available)
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
