Treeswift is deploying AI‑powered hardware systems with some of the largest utility companies in North America, including PG&E. Our technology helps field teams operate dramatically faster and more effectively by combining sensors, AI, and real‑world deployment at scale. We're looking for a hands‑on technician who loves building, testing, troubleshooting, and improving hardware systems that are used every day in the field. You'll gain experience across hardware assembly, sensors, field deployments, AI‑enabled systems, operations, and manufacturing. You’ll work directly with engineers, product teams, and deployments, helping scale hardware from prototype through production. We're scaling rapidly and expect to deploy hundreds of systems over the next year. This role will have direct impact on how quickly we grow. What You’ll Do Support operational uptime of deployed field systems across major utility environments throughout California. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair our hardware systems daily across wildfire‑prone utility infrastructure. Follow diagnostic checklists and resolve issues before they elevate. Communicate directly with utility staff in a professional, customer‑facing capacity. Coordinate with our engineering team to flag recurring issues and share field feedback. Who You Are You enjoy working hands‑on with hardware systems in real‑world environments. You have hands‑on experience with tools and electronics. You’re detail‑oriented and methodical — you follow a process and don't cut corners. You’re a strong communicator — you're comfortable communicating with customers on site and internal technical teams. Based in San Francisco with personal vehicle and a consistent record of dependability/punctuality. Mileage reimbursement, travel/per diem available. Salary The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 to $100,000.
