Religious Education Assistant, Part-time

Religious Education Assistant, Part-time (20 hrs./wk)
Reports to: Pastor
Location: St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish | Port Charlotte FL
Classification: Hourly/ Non-exempt
Overview
This position provides administrative support to Religious Education Department in a very busy Parish.
Job Responsibilities
- Update and maintain a paper filing system and organized computer files.
- Communicate with students, parents, catechists, and staff as needed.
- Produce sacramental certificates and post records to sacramental books.
- Input registrations to Parishsoft for Rel Ed, OCIA and Sacramental programs
- Record and maintain all catechists and religious education volunteer records.
- Maintain the daily/weekly/monthly agenda and help arrange events.
- Assist CRE with development and implementation of policies and practices.
- Check the levels of office supplies and place appropriate orders.
Must be a practicing Roman Catholic.
Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Suite and excel.
2-3 years of office experience.
Excellent customer service skills.
Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).
Must be able to clear a FBI Level II background check.
