This role is responsible for the full grant lifecycle, from research and proposal development to compliance and reporting.PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESCalendar Development and MaintenanceManage the grant calendar to track application cycles and reporting deadlinesEnsure all deadlines are up to date for accurate planningIdentify and research prospective foundation, corporate, and government funding opportunitiesDetermine program alignment and appropriate ask amount for each grant applicationApplication ManagementLead the development, writing, and submission of grant proposalsUnderstand and persuasively communicate to funders the organization’s mission, purpose, program initiatives, and greatest needsCreate and manage project timelines for all applications to ensure deadlines are metCoordinate with program and finance teams to develop project budgets and ensure proposals align with agency needsMaintain digital and physical grant records, including the entry of award data into Raiser’s Edge and Financial EdgeReportingEnsure grant contracts are executed and filedCollaborate with the Finance and Operations department to confirm grant codes and monitor fiscal complianceSupport the Grants Administration Director with the collection and interpretation of data to ensure adherence to grantor requirementsDraft and submit narrative and fiscal reports to funders in coordination with program staffGeneralAttend quarterly program outcome review meetings and pivot grant strategy to support the evolving needs of the organization, as neededSupport the Grants Administration Director in communicating funding gaps and organizational needs to leadershipOther duties as assigned by the Grants Administration DirectorKey Relationships:Chief Program Officer, Chief Development Officer, Chief Finance Officer, CEO/Executive Director, Development Services Manager, Grants Administration Director, YWCA Program Directors and Program StaffThis job description is not intended to be all inclusive and the employee will also perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor and other management as required.QUALIFICATIONS:Education/ExperienceBachelor's degree required with at least 2 years of experience in writing, researching and reporting. Master’s degree preferredStrong organizational and writing skillsBasic understanding of data collection, database systems, and budgetsAbility to work in a fast paced, multi-tasked environment; deadline driven; and proficiency in Excel and WordAbility to work independently and manage projects.
