Associate Accountant

Associate Accountant Overview The Associate Accountant assists in maintaining financial records by applying accounting methods and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to record transactions, reconcile accounts, perform account analysis, and complete supporting processes to ensure the company's timely and accurate financial and regulatory reporting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reconcile and validate invoices, expenses, payables, receivables, bank, and other accounts. Research issues concerning entries, balances, vendors, accruals, chargebacks, and other related matters. Submit data for the preparation of monthly and quarterly accounting reports. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. Qualifications Education and Experience: Broad knowledge in accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four‑year college degree, plus 0–6 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Communication Skills: Ability to read and understand policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; and ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person‑to‑person or small group situations with customers, clients, the general public, and other employees. Software Skills: Intermediate proficiency in 10‑Key and spreadsheets; basic proficiency in accounting, alphanumeric data entry, contact management, database, and word processing/typing.
