Logistic Lead

Logistics Lead – Ocean Imports & Domestic Distribution Position Summary We're looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Lead to manage ocean import shipments from overseas suppliers to U.S. warehouses and customers. In this fast-paced role, you'll coordinate transportation, monitor shipments, ensure accurate documentation, and deliver exceptional customer service while keeping freight moving on time and within budget. Responsibilities Coordinate ocean import shipments from overseas factories through final delivery. Schedule bookings with ocean carriers, freight forwarders, and drayage providers. Track shipments, ETAs, port releases, and delivery schedules while proactively resolving delays. Manage import documentation, customs paperwork, and shipment records. Coordinate deliveries with warehouses, transportation providers, and customers. Communicate shipment updates with Sales, Supply Chain, warehouses, and customers. Monitor demurrage, detention, and transportation costs while identifying opportunities to reduce expenses. Review freight invoices for accuracy and maintain organized shipment files. Track logistics performance metrics, prepare reports, and support continuous process improvements. Requirements 3–5 years of experience in ocean import logistics, freight forwarding, or domestic distribution. Strong knowledge of ocean freight, customs documentation, port operations , drayage, and transportation coordination. Experience working with ERP or Transportation Management Systems (TMS). Excellent organization, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, International Business, or related field preferred. Bilingual in Chinese or Vietnamese is a strong plus.
