Job Description Starting Date: Aug 24, 2026 Posting Date: Jun 02, 2026 Pay Range: $20.30 - $24.96/hour Hours: 20 hours/week Job Summary: Transporting students to and from school and other activities in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities High school diploma or equivalent as required by OAR 581-37-030, Oregon Department of Education. 18 years of age or older. Type20 Oregon School Activity Driver’s Certificate. Ability to work harmoniously with others and to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) with students, parents, and staff. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to maintain confidentiality of students and their records. Ability to demonstrate standards of moral character and behavior to serve as an effective role model for students. Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students and staff. Drive school bus on an assigned route. Load and unload students at specific stops on an established time schedule with the utmost regard for safety. Check vehicle gas, oil, signals, wipers, brakes, lights, water and other components to assure proper levels and/or operation prior to each trip. Record gas, oil and mileage readings. Keep vehicle clean inside and out. Drive bus or van on special trips outside the district. Maintain discipline on bus and report discipline problems according to district policy and procedures. Attend classes and training to keep license current. Report traffic violations related to school bus operation to city, county, or state police agencies. Abide by federal and state laws and school district policies, procedures and rules. Make provision for a responsible person to guard the rear of buses when backing up on school grounds. Do not drive more than ten total hours during any consecutive fifteen hour period. Participate in in-service training as assigned. Act as a friendly ambassador for the Mt. Angel School District. Professionally represent the school and the District in interactions with the community and staff. Maintain appropriate certifications and training hours as required. Comply with applicable District, state, local and federal laws, rules and regulations. Attend work regularly and be punctual. Perform such other duties as may be assigned. Qualifications Type20 Driver Valid Oregon Driver’s License (no CDL required) Free training First Aid/CPR Training preferred Citizenship, residency or work visa required EEO Statement Mt.
