Seeking an enthusiastic Physical Science teacher for a rewarding contract opportunity supporting high school students in a general education setting. This role is ideal for educators passionate about helping learners explore and understand the wonders of physical science. You’ll be providing instruction to high school students in a collaborative and supportive academic environment, making a real impact on their educational journey.

In this position, you will teach Physical Science within a general education classroom, fostering a positive learning atmosphere that encourages student curiosity and engagement. You’ll be working full-time, at 35 hours per week, and collaborating closely with fellow educators and support staff to ensure each student receives an enriching educational experience.

Qualifications:

• Current teaching endorsement in Physical Science for grades 9-12, required
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or a science-related field
• Previous experience teaching general education science classes at the high school level is highly valued
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
• Ability to adapt lessons to meet a wide range of student needs

Responsibilities:

• Lead high school general education Physical Science classes
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in alignment with curriculum standards
• Assess student progress and provide effective feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues to support academic success across disciplines
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance
• Promote scientific literacy, curiosity, and critical thinking
