Clinical Specialist, Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) - Iowa City / Des Moines, IA

Medtronic seeks a Clinical Specialist for Deep Brain Stimulation therapy in Iowa. The role involves providing surgical support, device programming expertise, customer education, and technical troubleshooting across a regional territory, requiring travel between multiple clinical accounts.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site surgical support and equipment management during DBS implants and follow-up procedures
• Demonstrate expertise in device selection, programming, implantation techniques, and system testing
• Educate and train physicians, hospital staff, and office personnel on products and therapies through one-on-one sessions and in-service programs
• Maintain current product knowledge and competitive awareness; identify account needs proactively
• Complete implant documentation, registration, invoicing, and coordinate product orders with customer service

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with 6+ years clinical or medical sales experience
• Or Associate degree with 4+ years clinical or medical sales experience
• Or Bachelor's degree with 2+ years clinical or medical sales experience
• Valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance
• Ability to work scheduled and unscheduled clinical events including weekends and nights
• Healthcare universal precautions knowledge and infectious disease awareness
• Autonomous work capability outside clinical events with minimal supervision
