Stationary Engineer (Job Code: JC-511067) Salary: $6,088.00 - $7,707.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable. Location: Valley View Fire Center in Elk Creek, CA. Work Location: Glenn County. Job Description and Duties Stationary Engineer duties include operating and maintaining stationary mechanical equipment, boilers, generators, compressors, and other plant machinery. The incumbent works under the direction of the Assistant Chief and reports to the Stationary Engineer Supervisor. Contact Assistant Chief Jacob Wells for further details. Working Conditions May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Overnight travel may be required. Minimum Requirements Minimum requirements can be found in the Class Specification. (STATIONARY ENGINEER) Special Requirements The position requires medical clearance before being hired. Maintains the Arduous Fitness Standard in accordance with Department policy. Incumbent is required to wear respiratory protection equipment and must be annually medically cleared to be fit-tested for respiratory protection equipment.
