Overview Meat Cutter and Wrapper at Sam's Club. Base pay range: $18.00/hr - $25.00/hr. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Position Summary: Our fresh meat team focuses on quality, packaging, and display of meat items to help members eat and feed their families. You'll be on the front-lines of customer service, where your attention to detail and steady hand contribute to a quality shopping experience. Responsibilities Be a Team Member: Collaborate with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicate with team members; be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas. Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of floor operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and the operation, maintenance, and sanitization of equipment; prepare meat products (cutting, grinding, wrapping, trimming) according to established standards; cut boneless meat products; maintain product quality standards. Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them. Be an Owner: Ensure operational excellence, maintain work area according to company policies; ensure quality and date control standards for meat products; secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise; eliminate waste; assist members with purchasing decisions; ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored per company policies. Be a Talent Ambassador: Model high quality service and products, valuing the members experience in the meat area; exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work; comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics; uphold the Open Door Policy. Complete work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners; identify priorities and deadlines; communicate progress and information; seek improvements and adapt to change.
