About the Position

Experience with patient ratios of 5-6. Experience with Epic charting system required. Travel experience required. Description: This position requires a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience. The role involves working three 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Nurses are required to work every other weekend. Floating to other units as needed is required. Charge RN shifts will also be assigned as needed. The unit provides care to orthopedic patients and includes medical surgical patients. Telemetry monitoring is available on the unit. The department features a physical therapy gym for patient rehabilitation. High volume patient populations include total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties. Moderate volume patient populations involve surgical procedures and 24-hour observation patients. Nurses will be responsible for managing a variety of patient care needs. Additional skills required include IV management, telemetry monitoring, and wound care. The unit collaborates with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care. Candidates must maintain current knowledge and skills required for the position. Compliance with infection control practices and safety protocols is essential. All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam. Modules will be provided as part of the orientation process.
