Hybrid Clinical Research Coordinator I

Description Job Description The Project Coordinator will support a wide range of educational and clinical research activities. That includes patient interviewing, obtaining informed consent, respiratory testing support, clinical data extraction from charts and entry, basic database management and statistical analyses, as well as bibliographic searches and administrative support for educational activities and for compliance purposes. Hybrid arrangements possible (at least 50% in person). A minimum one-year commitment preferred. Responsibilities Interactions with patients, database management Data extraction from charts Data entry, some basic queries, document and/or slide preparation IRB applications Continued medical education documentation, and report drafting. Occasionally assist with bibliographic searches, lecture preparation, and other administrative and educational support tasks. Establishes the coordination of basic and moderately complex project activities and ensures the quality, timeliness, and integrity of ongoing projects and schedules. Basic projects are typically small in scope affecting one or two departments with little or no budgetary oversight. Develops and maintains a detailed project schedule which includes administrative tasks. Ensures adherence to deadlines. Coordinates and leads assigned project activities ensuring that assignments are completed. May organize, lead and facilitate project-related meetings, including the creation of agendas and preparation of materials. Prepares and/or edits meeting minutes, presentations and tables. Maintains detailed records and documentation of project activity and may be responsible for developing uniform procedures for storing and keeping appropriate documentation. Provides feedback to communicate project findings as appropriate. May develop reports and other deliverables as assigned. Tracks project changes and produces updated schedules as required. Monitors project deliverables and timelines, notifies management when issues arise, and take corrective actions, as needed. May coordinate ordering, follow up of receipt and invoicing as necessary. Develops test scenarios if applicable to position, project or department. May be responsible for conference travel planning, and departmental correspondence as it relates to the project. May be responsible for communication with outside contractors and/or vendors and consultants as required by the project. Performs other related duties. Qualifications Bachelors degree required, or equivalent education and work experience None required, 1 year of experience in project coordination preferred. Preferred Skills Bachelor’s degree, excellent writing skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Access, Excel, Word, and Powerpoint), interest and ability to learn other computer programs, excellent interpersonal skills are essential; interest and/or experience in clinical research support and data and/or project management strongly preferred. Preferable but not required: bilingual Spanish, master’s degree, interest in research, and/or previous similar work experience. Interest in clinical research and administrative interactions, excellent writing skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Access, Excel, Word, and/or Powerpoint), interest and ability to learn other computer programs, excellent interpersonal skills are essential; (2) desirable: BA/BS degree, experience in clinical research, and/or statistical analyses. Spanish and/or Polish language fluency is desirable. Compensation The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $66482.07 - $75000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need.
