• Location: Fredericksburg, Virginia, with convenient access to the Richmond and Washington, D.C. corridors

• Board-certified or board-eligible physician trained in Internal Medicine - Infectious Disease
• Active BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant infectious disease clinical experience preferred
• Experience evaluating microscopic specimens as part of diagnostic workups
• Experience managing vascular access devices and central venous catheters
• Comfort with intravenous medications and central line placement
• Experience with intrathecal administration of anti-infective agents
• Strong inpatient consultative medicine skills and patient management experience

• Provide inpatient infectious disease coverage and new consult support
• Evaluate and manage hospitalized patients with complex infectious disease needs
• Interpret microscopic specimens as part of diagnostic workups
• Manage vascular access devices and central venous catheters
• Administer and oversee IV-based treatment plans
• Perform central line placement when clinically indicated
• Collaborate with the hospital care team to deliver timely, high-quality consult coverage
• Support excellent patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment
