Step into a rewarding opportunity providing critical psychiatric care at a respected behavioral health facility. This 26-week contract role is ideal for Registered Nurses eager to make a positive impact in an acute psychiatric environment alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

Schedule & Hours:

• 36 hours per week for day shifts; 48 hours per week for night shifts (allocation determined by unit needs)
• Day shift: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
• Night shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
• Overtime may be available depending on facility demand

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct psychiatric nursing care according to institutional policies and physician directives
• Administer medications, therapeutic treatments, and interventions safely and accurately
• Complete patient assessments, monitor behavioral/medical status, and document observations clearly
• Respond promptly and effectively to psychiatric and medical emergencies
• Coordinate with psychiatrists, therapists, and support staff to provide holistic patient care
• Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate patient-specific care plans
• Maintain a secure environment through adherence to behavioral health safety protocols and de-escalation strategies
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge processes

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Previous experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, corrections, or acute care nursing preferred
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Crisis intervention training (CPI, MOAB, or equivalent) preferred; may be required before beginning assignment
• Successful completion of background and drug screenings, as well as facility onboarding procedures

$1,290 - $1,360/WeekEstimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
