Kenton, OH: School Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Description Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required. Calling on Speech‑Language Pathologists who want to work with small school communities! Soliant is seeking both Clinical Fellows and ASHA‑certified SLPs for a contract position in the upcoming school year, serving a community about 20 minutes outside of Kenton, OH. Requirements Master's degree in Speech Pathology or Communications Disorders Ohio SLP license Certificate of clearance from the Ohio Department of Education Applicants will be working with K‑12 students in both General Education and Special Education settings. Clinicians with a wide-ranging skill set will be wonderful in this environment. As a education setting SLP, you will: Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs. Determine eligibility for speech services, and work with an interdisciplinary team to determine appropriate goals. Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for children with identified speech and language disorders. Develop individualized education plans (for children with special education needs) and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations. Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns. Maintain accurate records for all children on the caseload. Provide reports of children's progress to parents. Organize caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school or classroom. Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.
