Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring an active IL RN license and at least three years of relevant nursing experience.

Details

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting
• Provides inpatient care to the obstetric patient population
• Participates in intrapartum care for patients undergoing labor, delivery, and surgical delivery
• Monitors fetal well-being and administers medication specific to obstetric patients
• Night shift schedule from 7:00a to 7:30p
• 36 hours per week over three 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required
• Floating required

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certification through the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required

Additional Information

• Performs initial patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care
• Implements and modifies nursing interventions based on continuous evaluation
• Maintains accurate nursing documentation for continuity of care
• Collaborates with the healthcare team and offers peer feedback for professional development
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on assignment for more than 1 year and must complete a 6-month break in service before returning to any facility within the health system
