Contract | Rotating Shift (Days & Nights) | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Expected hours: 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit, with potential float to additional units serving the same patient population
• Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as part of ongoing patient monitoring
• Administer and manage medications safely in accordance with facility protocols
• Participate in rotating day and night shifts, including every other holiday as required
• Complete orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate with an acceptable passing score
• Maintain compliance with annual hands-on competency requirements and facility-assigned modules

Required Qualifications

• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or active Compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission, no pending certifications accepted
• Active ACLS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active NIHSS certification — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 12 months permanent experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry specialty
• One professional reference required from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months — co-worker references will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience gained within a single facility or location (combined experience across locations is considered)
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and ECG rhythm interpretation in an acute care setting
• Prior travel nursing experience in a large academic or health system environment
