Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Detroit, MI, for a Heavy Equipment Operator. The role involves operating and maintaining heavy equipment used in metal recycling processes, including excavators and loaders. Daily responsibilities include handling, transporting, and sorting ferrous and non-ferrous materials, ensuring safety protocols are adhered to at all times, and performing routine checks and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance. Additionally, the operator will assist with tasks related to maintaining the organization and safety of the work environment. Qualifications Experience in operating heavy equipment such as excavators and loaders Skilled in equipment maintenance and handling used equipment Knowledgeable in excavation and material handling processes Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding, outdoor environment Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols for equipment operation Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in heavy equipment operation are a plus Prior experience in the recycling or industrial sector is highly desirable #J-18808-Ljbffr
