Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery is responsible for delivering care to perinatal patients under the guidance of the Charge Nurse, Manager, and Director of the Family Birthing Center. This role involves providing direct patient care in alignment with the established policies and procedures of our organization and professional standards, all while supporting our mission. Care is delivered in a family-centered environment, catering to adolescents (ages 12-17), adult women (ages 18-64), and newborns. Continuous education is required, including Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring, STABLE, and other courses mandated by Perinatal Safety Initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within one year of starting employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be acquired within 30 days of starting employment.
• Neonate Resuscitation certification must be obtained within one year of starting employment.
• Registered Nurse license.
• Associate degree.
• Registered Nurse Diploma.
