Remote Senior Java DeveloperApex Systems is looking for a qualified individual to fill an immediate opening for a Remote Senior Java Developer. Please see the job description below for details of the role.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Perform analysis of existing solutions, formulate requirements, perform coding, and test and debuggingUse your communication and customer service skills to provide support and troubleshooting for production solutions, and recommend changes in development, maintenance, and standards using Agile development best-practicesContribute to the development, testing, implementation, and review of complex solutions that reside and are executed in a Java environmentProvide programming support for complex solutions, develop software from established requirements, appropriately deploy code, and offer insight on the feasibility of system designsContribute to the design of technology infrastructure and configurations, recommend process improvementsReview complex patches and new versions of applicationsImplement complex software packages and deploy codeCompile and maintain technical documentation, including use cases and scripts; conduct technical research and maintain viable knowledge of technology trendsParticipate in cross-functional team initiatives and process improvement projectsQualifications:6+ years in Java back-end developmentStrong development leveraging Java, Spring BootWeb Services- RESTful Web ServicesExperience working with cloud solutions in AWS (EC2 at a minimum)Experienced in creating and implementing development Best Practices, Policies, Mentoring peer developers, and enhancing team workflow.Use of JavaScript technologies helpfulFamiliar with Continuous Integration Solutions such as JenkinsFamiliarity with SQL is helpful but not requiredRequired Skills: Java, Spring boot, Rest APIs, AWS (EC2 at a minimum) Basic Qualification: Additional Skills: 100% Remote. The possibility of extension for the role is likely; if not, they will have a good name with Apex and we should be able to find them their next role very quickly! Background Check: Yes. Drug Screen: Yes. Notes: This project will last for 4 months with a possible extension. The Sr. Java Developer will be working as one of the lead developers on a project supporting the end client that is providing Software as a Service. They will be working with a team of around 8 individuals to drive the company's solution forward. The client does not provide any form of visa sponsorship.
