Job Summary

Salary Range: $19.47- $31.09. Pay is based on experience.
2-12hr Shifts: 7am -7pm and 9am -9pm
Responsible for responding to medical emergencies and delivering patient care, support, and evaluation in a pre-hospital setting, including at the scene and during transport to the hospital. This includes assessing patients, determining appropriate emergency care, and administering treatment.

Essential Functions

Examine and evaluate patients to determine necessary care.
Provide patients with emergency care using appropriate techniques and equipment.
Document patient information, condition, and treatment.
Maintain patient confidentiality and provide all care with respect for patient rights.
Transport patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
Operate and drive an ambulance in accordance with applicable safety policies and laws.

Qualifications

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma Emergency Medical Technician required

Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers required Emergency Medical Technician [EMT License] - Generic - HR Only required Emergency Medical Technician [NREMT-Basic] - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) preferred Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License [State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred

Experience
EMT Experience 0-1 year preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to implement clinical care in accordance with outlined policies and procedures.
- Must possess a valid driver's license in the state of practice.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment while working in a stressful environment.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to bend, pull, push, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful and crisis situations.
