Genetic Counselor Assistant

To support the genetic counseling team, the part-time Genetic Counselor Assistant I will manage genetic test order reviews, facilitate test setups, and coordinate patient care in a remote environment. Key responsibilities Review genetic test orders for completeness and accuracy to prevent unnecessary testing Facilitate test setup by linking samples and performing configuration tasks while documenting order details Respond to patient and provider inquiries regarding order issues and coordinate scheduling for genetic counseling Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Biology, Medical Technology, Healthcare, or a related scientific field Professional-level proficiency in mathematical reasoning and computer literacy Foundational knowledge about Genetic Counseling Assistance is preferred but not required Strong verbal and written communication skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting
