About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 7:30 PM - 7:00 AM Experience: Minimum 2 Years Recent Med Surg Experience Required License: Active RN License or Compact Certifications: Active BLS, Active ACLS Must-Have: - Charge RN Experience Required - Previous Travel Experience (At least 3 months) Required - Skills Checklist Medical Surgical Current to 1 Year Required Description: This position requires the coordination of total nursing care for patients. The nurse may be asked to work as a backup Charge Nurse. Participation in patient and family teaching is expected. Leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel is essential. Maintaining professional nursing practice standards in the clinical setting is required. The nurse may float to any unit within their scope of practice. Requested time off during the assignment must be noted during submission. No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted. Local travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible. A personal vehicle is required for this position. Profile requirements include a supervisory-signed reference within the past two years of employment. The 3-strike rule for call-offs is enforced immediately. Each call-off must be communicated to the unit supervisor at least 1.5 hours in advance. Every other weekend and holidays may be required as needed.
