Maintenance Technician III (Night Shift)

This role requires extensive technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, with particular emphasis on high-speed sortation equipment, conveyor systems, and automated storage and retrieval systems. The Technician III will demonstrate advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on sophisticated industrial equipment while maintaining the highest safety standards.Pay Range: $26.58 - $39.23Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday / 10pm to 6:30am*Written and Physical Test Required*Duties and ResponsibilitiesIdentify, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical and electrical failures, including error/fault codes on industrial equipmentTroubleshoot and repair Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to the Input/Output level, including processor fault identificationService and repair Motor Control Panels, including motor starters, overloads, relays, switches, circuit breakers, and fusesInstall, troubleshooting, and repair sensors, photo eyes, proximity switches, encoders, bar code readers, dimensions, and Variable Frequency DrivesInstall, wire, and repair dual voltage (480VAC/208VAC) 3-phase motors with brakes and speed reducersDiagnose and repair pneumatic systems including compressors, valves, actuators, cylinders, and vacuum componentsService hydraulic systems including pumps, valves, cylinders, and associated componentsPerform fabrication work including cutting, drilling, and welding while following hot work safety proceduresTroubleshoot and repair multiple conveyor systems (belted, roller, MDR, powered curve, spiral) and high-speed sortation equipment (sliding shoe, cross-belt, pocket sorters, tilt trays)Navigate Warehouse Control Systems and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) for system diagnostics and controlTroubleshoot servo motor controls, in-motion scales, Print and Apply systems, and Automatic Storage Retrieval Systems (ASRS)Work safely with electrical systems (12VDC to 600VAC) following NFPA 70E standards using multimeter and diagnostic equipmentRead and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings for troubleshooting and repair applicationsRequirementsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of industrial maintenance experience with automated systems.Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, motor controls, and automated material handling equipment.Safety: Knowledge of NFPA 70E electrical safety standards and industrial safety practices.Tools: Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment.Hot work permit certificationExperience with Warehouse Control Systems and HMI interfacesBackground in automated distribution or warehouse operationsCertification in electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenanceAbility to work at variable heights using proper PPECapability to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to work in various positions (standing, kneeling, climbing)Manual dexterity for precision workFast-paced environment requiring quick problem resolutionAdvanced troubleshooting and problem-solving abilitiesStrong communication skills across all organization levelsService-oriented mindset with focus on minimizing downtimeAbility to work independently and prioritize multiple tasksCommitment to safety and continuous improvementSalary range: $26.58 - $39.23About SkechersSkechers, a global Fortune 500 company, develops and markets a diverse range of lifestyle and performance footwear, apparel, and accessories.
