We are seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, and caring Teacher to join our team! The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children, works well as part of a team, and is excited to create meaningful learning experiences each day.

Using the Primrose Balanced Learning® approach , you will help support the social, emotional, cognitive, creative, and physical development of each child in your care.

Primrose School of Acworth at Bentwater is an accredited private preschool providing a premier educational child care experience with year-round programs for children from infancy through elementary school age.

What You'll Do

As a Teacher, you will:

• Create a safe, nurturing, fun, and engaging classroom environment.
• Supervise and actively engage with children throughout the day.
• Implement approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedules using the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum.
• Encourage children to explore, create, learn, and make decisions with confidence.
• Observe and support each child's individual developmental needs.
• Provide positive guidance while maintaining clear and consistent expectations for behavior.
• Partner with the Leadership Team to complete student evaluations and prepare for parent-teacher conferences.
• Build positive and professional relationships with children, families, and fellow team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, attractive, and welcoming classroom.
• Follow all school policies and local, state, and national regulations related to the health, safety, and care of children.
• Attend required staff meetings, trainings, workshops, and school functions.
• Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with the Primrose School of Acworth at Bentwater Employee Handbook.
• Assist the Director and Leadership Team with additional responsibilities as needed.

What We're Looking For

We want teachers who are reliable, positive, energetic, patient, and passionate about working with children.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or higher, or related experience, as applicable to the position.
• Must meet all requirements of the local child care regulatory agency.
• Previous teaching or assistant teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program is preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of the social, emotional, physical, and creative needs of young children.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable and committed to maintaining a consistent work schedule.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed for child care, classroom activities, safety, and potential emergency situations.
• Infant and Young Toddler teachers must be able to safely lift infants into and out of cribs.
