1. Priority is “setting up” parts/components on the CNC Machines per the work order and set-up sheets.  CNC Machines used will be Vertical and Horizontal machining centers. 
2. 1. It is the Machinist Level 2 Setup Machinist’s responsibility to communicate with his/her “mirror” co-worker (on the other shift) to ensure parts are running well, and the paperwork is proper order ONCE the part has been set-up and confirmed a “in-tolerance part”.
3. Inspect parts per manufacturing inspection plan (MIP) and accurately record all results on the MIP document as parts come off the CNCs. 
4. 1. It is the responsibility of the Operator to use proper inspection tools, methods, and protocol when inspecting parts/components. Communication with the Shop Floor Manager, Production Manager, or Programmer (when necessary) and Compliance Specialist is an expectation when running the initial set-up and ultimately production parts. 
5. Tag and document all nonconformance parts per the AS9100 procedures/work instructions.  
6. 1. Note: Must tag all set-up pieces.
7. Clocking into work at the beginning of shift and clocking out of work at the end of shift. This is your payroll time. No overtime will be paid unless written authorization is approved.
8. Ensure that the shop floor is kept clean and professional.  This includes but is not limited to: FOD prevention, putting tooling away, keeping work surfaces clean and organized, keeping CNC machines clean of chips, wiping oil/grease off machines, Sweeping/Mopping floor, general cleaning, putting away company inspection tools, and any other cleaning duty on shop floor per management.
9. Clocking in and out of order operations in ERP system (Global Shop). Recording any scrap in the ERP system.  
10. Follow safety procedures and policies.
11. Ensure that all company guidelines are being followed as outlined in Employee Handbook.
12. Any other job functions that management assigns are not listed in this job description.\
