Job Summary Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, assess the data development and collection needs of the assigned clinical service line/department. Coordinate the collection of and/or abstract clinical data elements from multiple sources. Design and develop audit tools to monitor data accuracy. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the data. Analyze information to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements, as appropriate. May interpret data for reimbursement applications. Develop and maintain databases as required. May provide patient demographic reports and provider profiles. May assist with the implementation of new and existing policies, procedures, practices and standards. Work with personnel in other functions/services/departments on various projects or issues as directed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Information Management, or related field which utilizes strong data management or statistical analysis, or equivalent combination of education and experience. One to two years of experience related to the integrating of data, preferably clinical in nature, from disparate sources. Location and Hours Primary Location: DMC Children's Hospital of Michigan.
