Reg Respiratory Therapist - Days - FT

Position Details Mercy Hospital Springfield – Inpatient Respiratory – Full‑time. Rotation Days: 6:30AM to 7:00PM. Sign‑on bonus $10,000 and relocation assistance $7,000. Overview Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician's orders. Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy. Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care. Performs duties as assigned. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care. Qualifications Education: Graduate of a CoArc‑approved Respiratory Care program. Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and holds a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license. Certifications: Holds the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co‑workers who work in the Emergency Room, PALS is required. Physical demands: Push, pull, and grip up to 50lb. Pinch up to 10lb., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Physical demands are attached. Equipment used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.
