Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

$2220.09/week –

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse will provide specialized care to patients in the IMCU/PCU unit, managing complex medical conditions with an emphasis on neurological, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory diagnoses. The role involves monitoring critically ill patients, utilizing advanced equipment, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans based on clinical data and physician directives.

• Administer medications and treatments while following established protocols and safety guidelines.

• Operate specialized equipment such as temp pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, Bipap machines, and Neptune Vapo vents.

• Monitor patient progress, recognize early signs of deterioration, and escalate care as needed.

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide education and updates.

• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EPIC) system.

Qualifications:

• Valid NY RN license with verification and active status.

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in IMCU/PCU or step-down units.

• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.

• Ability to operate EPIC EMR system proficiently.

• Valid drivers license matching residency demographics for local assignment considerations.

• Flexibility to float and work various shifts, including 6:30 am – 7 pm.
