Find a fulfilling career and make a difference with UnityPoint Health. Responsibilities Prepare and cook hot food items while supporting the kitchen team to ensure meals are served on time. Assist with inventory, ensuring suffieicnt stock of food supplies. Follow recipes and safety guidelines to deliver tasty, attractive, and safe meals every shift. Participate in quality assusrance, seeking to continuously improve the food program within fiscal department parameters. Record temperatures, monitor quality, and report any concerns to your lead or supervisor. Collaborate with teammates, provide feedback, and contribute to a positive, goal-driven kitchen culture. Prioritize safety, compliance, and a smooth operation in a healthcare environment. Qualifications Education: High School diploma or equivalent Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Cook or in the culinary field License(s)/Certification(s): Serve Safe Certification within 180 days of hire *Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs.
