Part-Time/PRN Pharmacist

Location: Springfield, MO Jordan Valley is Missouri’s largest Federally Qualified Health Center, founded in 2003. It serves 75,000 patients each year and offers medical, dental, and behavioral health services to Southwest Missouri. The mission is to improve community health through high‑quality, accessible care. Job Overview A Part‑Time/PRN Pharmacist will work collaboratively with pharmacy, nursing, administration, and medical staff to optimize medication use and support the department’s goals. The pharmacist provides clinical pharmacy services, including primary care, consultative services, and drug information, while ensuring operational excellence and compliance with policies and professional standards. Duties Develop and implement initiatives for safe, cost‑effective pharmaceutical management in collaboration with the healthcare team. Provide counseling to patients regarding their prescriptions. Guide and monitor medication use processes for dispensing, administering, monitoring, and communicating patient medication needs. Assess and review the work of clinical staff pharmacists and other personnel for productivity, efficiency, and quality. Promote effective teamwork within and between departments to meet goals and objectives. Supervise care provided by non‑licensed personnel and oversee daily pharmacy technician functions. Interpret, evaluate, and verify physician medication orders for accuracy and necessary formulations. Assist physicians with drug selection and monitoring plans. Demonstrate respect and maintain a professional, responsible, courteous environment for patients, families, visitors, and employees. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Doctoral Degree in Pharmacy. One year of licensed pharmacist experience with enhanced clinical responsibilities preferred. Current Missouri State license to practice professional pharmacy.
