CDL-A Driver

A full-time opportunity exists for an experienced CDL-A Driver to ensure the safe and timely transport of materials and equipment to various hardscape construction sites. The role focuses on efficient logistics, supporting on-site teams, and maintaining safety and equipment standards.

Based in Sterling Heights, MI, this company is an established, award-winning Custom Hardscape Design/Build organization. They have over 31 years of experience in the industry, creating stunning and functional residential and commercial hardscape projects throughout the Metro Detroit area. This offers a stable work environment in a company dedicated to high craftsmanship and client service.

Compensation & Benefits

$25.00 - $30.00/hour, commensurate with experience

Responsibilities

Safely transport hardscape materials and equipment to designated project sites.
Conduct comprehensive pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
Maintain accurate logbooks and records of deliveries and driving hours.
Secure all loads properly to prevent damage or loss during transit.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and on-site project managers to coordinate delivery schedules.
Adhere to all federal and state regulations regarding commercial vehicle operation.
Perform basic routine maintenance and report any vehicle issues promptly.

Requirements

Valid CDL-A with Air Brakes Endorsement..
Clean driving record with a history of safe commercial vehicle operation.
Prior experience driving for a construction, landscaping, or hardscaping company is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
Ability to physically assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
Excellent communication and time-management skills.
Reliability and a commitment to teamwork.
