Picker/Packer Outbound
The Outbound Picker/Packer is responsible for accurately selecting products from inventory and preparing orders for shipment. This role ensures that customers receive the correct items in a timely and secure manner, following all shipping procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick products for customer orders using pick tickets, handheld scanners, or voice-picking systems
- Pack items safely and securely to prevent damage during transit
- Confirm order accuracy and apply shipping labels
- Stage completed orders for carrier pickup or internal delivery routes
- Maintain productivity and accuracy standards
- Assist with shipping documentation and inventory adjustments as needed
- Keep workstations clean and follow all safety guidelines
- Report any shortages, mispicks, or packing issues to the outbound supervisor
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience with order picking, packing, or fulfillment is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk throughout shift
- Familiarity with warehouse scanning systems and shipping software
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Forklift or pallet jack experience is a plus
