Project Overview:

Bechtel's Manufacturing & Technology (M&T) Business Unit is designing and building an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Manufacturing Facility located at Generation Park in Houston, TX. M&T is an exciting and growing business unit that serves customers in the semiconductor, datacenter, life sciences, and electric vehicle markets. Job Summary:

In this role, you will perform tasks involved in the formation and administration of purchase orders. You will prepare bidders' lists, qualify bidders, form bid packages, issue bid requests, participate in negotiations, recommend commitments, secure approvals, communicate with suppliers and monitor supplier performance. Your efforts are to ensure potential and current suppliers comply with purchase order requirements and provide the required service and results to meet project needs

Major Responsibilities:

• Communicates with Engineering to assist and/or guide them in the preparation of material requisitions for the procurement of materials and equipment and to achieve the understanding needed to process these requisitions
• Forms bid packages and issues bid requests; coordinates bidders' questions; and receives bidder proposals
• Prepares Commercial Bid Summary and recommendations to award
• Prepares and commits purchase orders within their authority
• Communicates with suppliers and personnel within Bechtel to establish clear definition of requirements and to assure supplier performance to the obligations within the purchase order

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires a University Hire with less than 1 year of experience or 4-5 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Basic understanding of procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or business operations, with the ability to learn field procurement processes and procedures.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate with suppliers, project teams, warehouse personnel, and other stakeholders in a fast-paced project environment.
• Ability to review purchase requests, track orders, maintain procurement records, and ensure accurate documentation in procurement systems and spreadsheets.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to meeting project schedules, quality requirements, and procurement compliance standards.
