Description

• Assess a wide range of patients, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations, utilizing both formal evaluation methods and insightful observations.
• Create tailored treatment plans focusing on immediate goals while also supporting long-term speech, language, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions that emphasize language, communication, fluency, and the intricacies of swallowing.
• Engage collaboratively with a dynamic healthcare team including physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and the families of patients, ensuring a holistic approach to care.
• Provide education to patients and their families to empower progress outside the therapy room.
• Conduct necessary inpatient evaluations and interventions to maintain seamless continuity of care.
• Keep accurate and timely patient records, adhering to all professional and regulatory guidelines.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if ASHA certification has not yet been obtained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) offered by ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within 30 days of starting employment.
