The Sunport boasts a world-class art collection, unique amenities, New Mexican cuisine, and many local artisanal gifts. approximately 5 miles southeast of downtown. It serves as the primary airport for the region and offers more than 250 nonstop flights daily to various destinations.About the Facility: Zuni Service Unit The Zuni Service Unit, located within the Zuni Indian Reservation in New Mexico, serves as a cornerstone of healthcare for the Zuni Pueblo community. This vital facility, operated by the Indian Health Service, offers comprehensive medical services, including primary care, dental, behavioral health, and emergency care, all tailored to meet the unique needs of the Zuni population. With a focus on culturally sensitive care, the Zuni Service Unit integrates traditional healing practices with modern medical treatment, ensuring patients receive holistic, compassionate support. By promoting wellness programs, preventative care, and community health education, the Zuni Service Unit plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall well-being and health outcomes of the Zuni people.Family Medicine Physician - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)The Family Medicine Physician conducts thorough medical assessments, including taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, and ordering and interpreting appropriate laboratory and radiological studies.Formulate diagnoses and develop patient care plans, and clearly communicate with patients and their families about medical conditions and treatment options.Support patients and their families during illness, providing compassionate care and guidance.Maintain accurate, comprehensive patient records that meet regulatory standards, detailing each patient's care and treatment activities.Identify cases that require specialized care and facilitate referrals or coordinate hospital admissions as necessary.The Family Medicine Physician provides inpatient rounds and develops care plans for hospitalized patients as needed; participate in on-call duties as required.Perform comprehensive health examinations, diagnose medical conditions, and prescribe or implement necessary treatments.Collaborate with the business office and credentialing staff to maintain current Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and other professional registrations.Work with clinical staff on scheduling to ensure adequate provider coverage.Adhere to the assigned scope of duties and follow work assignments from the Clinical Director.The Family Medicine Physician documents patient care and findings in accordance with The Joint Commission (TJC) standards and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations.Family Medicine Physician - REQUIREMENTSCompletion of a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).Current, active, and unrestricted Physician license in any U.S. state or the District of Columbia.Current DEA license.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.Minimum of 3-5 years of documented clinical experience in a Family Practice or Primary Care setting.KurzSolutions is committed to improving health outcomes by providing well-managed companies with the top healthcare talent in the market.
