Financial Reporting Accounting Senior Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office. The Financial Reporting Accounting Senior is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of external financial statements and all related filings. Provides assistance with complex financial statement transactions and filings. How You Will Make An Impact Prepares filings using the general ledger system and specific financial statement preparation software and analyzes results. Assists with responses to government and/or regulatory agencies requests and inquiries. Provides information for external audits. Participates in the evaluation of anticipated transactions and assists with implementing needed changes to the financial statements and related disclosures, including the impact on risk‑based capital. Recommends and develops enhancements to accounting methods and procedures. Minimum Requirements Requires BA/BS in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of 3 years of related accounting experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Preferred Skills, Capabilities & Experiences Insurance accounting and/or SEC or other financial reporting experience preferred. Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy.
