Controller

Job Overview The Accounting Controller will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, and internal controls across several service-based businesses. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to contribute to high-level financial strategy while ensuring accurate financial operations. Responsibilities Manage and oversee the daily accounting operations for multiple companies Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings Consolidate financial statements across entities Assist the CFO with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Maintain and enforce internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance Work with external tax advisors as needed Supervise accounting staff and support ongoing development Implement process improvements and financial systems enhancements Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations Prepare ad hoc financial reports and support strategic decision-making Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred) 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the service related industry Strong understanding of GAAP and multi-entity financial management Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience in a controller or senior accountant role supporting executive leadership is a plus Job Type: Full-time Pay: $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year Benefits Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Schedule 8 hour shift Day shift Monday to Friday Ability to Commute Baton Rouge, LA 70809 (Required) Ability to Relocate Baton Rouge, LA 70809: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person #J-18808-Ljbffr Legion Claims Solutions
