Plant Controller - Manufacturing. At Silgan Containers' Maxton, NC facility, you will manage multiple cost centers and strengthen manufacturing operations located within our customers' campus, making this a visible and impactful role. Manage the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial accuracy. Prepare monthly financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and operating plans. Maintain standard costs and bills of materials (BOMs). Oversee physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation. Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies. Review labor, materials, overhead, distribution, and inventory variances. Participate in production and operations meetings. Support internal controls, audit readiness, and asset protection. Partner with operations to improve manufacturing performance. Supervise front office administrative and accounting activities. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Five or more years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of GAAP. ERP system experience. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Culture & Fit Strong critical thinker comfortable in a fast-paced, complex manufacturing organization. Able to manage priorities across finance, operations, and customer requirements. Effective communicator who works well with cross-functional teams and plant management. Hands-on and engaged with plant-floor operations.
