Assistant United States Attorney (Civil)

Overview This is an open continuous announcement to fill current and future vacancies. As needed, additional positions may be filled using this announcement. The announcement may close prior to the date in the announcement if all positions are filled. First round consideration will be given to applications submitted by February 16, 2026, 11:59 pm, Eastern Standard Time. Applicant lists will be reviewed approximately every 30 days. Required Qualifications Applicants must possess a J.D. Degree, be an active member of the bar (any U.S. jurisdiction), and have at least one (1) year post-J.D. legal or other relevant experience. United States citizenship is required. Preferred Qualifications Applicants should possess superior communication and courtroom skills, exhibit exceptional research and writing ability, and demonstrate strong interpersonal and professional skills. Applicants must also exhibit the ability to work with other attorneys, support staff and client agencies in a professional manner while being able to function in a highly demanding work environment.
