- Serves as the operational command lead for logistical support issues and is responsible for management and administration of assigned weapons systems.
- Provides technical assistance and logistical support guidance to subordinate units.
- Provides command management direction relative to general supply support to all AETC and tenant units.
- Initiates/implements necessary policies and procedures required for all AETC activities to ensure proper discipline and control of spares requirements AETC-wide.
- Uses personal computer with multiple office automation software and varied functions to produce a wide range of documents that often require complex formats, such as graphics or tables within text, editing and reformatting electronic drafts, and updating or revising existing databases, presentations, or spreadsheets or word-processing documents.

- Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
- Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft/vehicle to conferences, meetings, or functions away from the duty office/location. Travel may include overnight stays.
- Extensive knowledge and thorough understanding of logistics management concepts and supply procedures/automated data systems.
- Expert knowledge of supply programs in the specific area of weapons system management, SBSS, WSMIS, WINMASS, D043, and Federal Logistics Data (FedLog).
- Ability to chair large teaming efforts, conferences and meetings with other MAJCOMs, Air Staff and effectively brief senior leadership, to include General Officers. Ability to effectively facilitate, arbitrate and negotiate
- Skill in tact and diplomacy. Skill in oral and written communications. Knowledge of automated data processing equipment and computer requirements.
- Ability to plan, organize and independently meet deadlines. Ability to successfully complete projects when constant change in technology and reengineering initiatives create a need for training and guidance of subordinates.
