Type: Six-month contract with potential for extension or perm hire Schedule: Between 8am-6pm Mon-Fri, weekends and holidays may apply Pay: $60.00 to $65.00 an hour Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and patient-centered Physician Assistant (PA) to join our healthcare team. The Physician Assistant will provide high-quality medical care by conducting patient assessments, diagnosing and treating illnesses, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations. Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions. Develop and implement treatment plans based on evidence-based practice. Order, perform, and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic studies, and procedures. Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state regulations. Educate patients and families regarding health conditions, treatments, and preventive care. Document patient encounters accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record (EHR). Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical staff meetings. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, healthcare regulations, and professional standards. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current Physician Assistant license in the state of practice. National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification. Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Preferred Qualifications 1-3 years of Physician Assistant experience in primary care, urgent care, family medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine, or specialty practice. Experience using electronic medical records (EMR/EHR). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Skills & Competencies Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic capabilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and within a collaborative healthcare team. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
