Job Details Title: Sanitation Technician Pay Range: $16 – $19 per hour (plus shift differential) Shift: 3 – 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM Status: Non‑Exempt Location: Refresco Beverages US Inc. Essential Job Functions Adhere to all health and safety policies, GMPs, and wear the required PPE. Maintain food quality and safety as per company, customer, or governing body standards (FDA, SQF, etc.). Prepare production equipment for cleaning and enforce lock out/tag out procedures. Use cleaning chemicals safely, following label instructions. Sanitize, foam, scrub, and rinse production equipment, conveyors, drips, rails, floors, drains, ceilings, walls, elevators, stairwells, and auxiliary areas. Vacuum, sweep, and mop using manual or electric tools. Clean facility building, grounds, parking lots, and bathrooms. Empty trash cans and replace liners; general office area cleaning. Verify sanitation effectiveness through visual inspection, chemical testing, and system printouts. Store chemicals and safety equipment properly. Ensure minimal downtime during sanitation and pre‑operational inspections. Maintain accurate sanitation documentation and complete the Master Sanitation Schedule daily. Required Skills Read and interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and chemical technical data sheets. Perform tasks in accordance with safety protocols. Operate industrial cleaning machines (e.g., pressure washers, floor scrubbers). Identify potential sanitation issues before they occur. Competencies Knowledge of OSHA and other safety regulations. Understanding of food safety standards such as HACCP, SQF, FDA. Attention to detail and meticulousness. Time management and self‑discipline. Problem‑solving ability. Teamwork and willingness to assist co‑workers. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1 year experience as a sanitation/janitorial worker in a warehouse environment using mobile cleaning equipment. Working Conditions Work schedule includes weekdays, weekends, afternoons, evenings, and overnight; overtime as needed. Environment is a fast‑paced production plant with mandatory hearing protection, variable temperatures, and mandatory supervision. Travel Requirements 0% travel anticipated. Physical Requirements Must stand or sit for prolonged periods. Must stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must lift up to 50 lbs (mandatory). Must lift, carry weight. Must walk, drive, and climb or balance on stairs/ladders. Must possess visual/sensory attention and excellent hand‑eye coordination. Other Duties Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
