Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification with a Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement or relevant licensure
- Experience working as a DHH specialist or teacher, preferably in K-12 settings
- Strong knowledge of current Deaf Education techniques and assistive technology
- Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learning needs across multiple campuses
- Solid communication skills, both in ASL and written English
- Positive, student-centered mindset and collaborative attitude
- Provide itinerant services to students identified as DHH across various grade levels and school sites
- Conduct assessments and help develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and families to support student inclusion and success
- Offer direct instruction, consultation, and support focused on language, communication, and self-advocacy
- Advocate for accessible learning environments and accommodations
- Promote awareness of Deaf culture within the school community
