About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery License: Active nursing license in the applicable state Certifications: BLS, AWHONN, NRP Must-Have: Traveler experience required Experience with LDRP and Mother/Baby care Ability to assist with sterile speculum exams, including effacement, dilation, station, and presentation Proficiency in the use of external and internal fetal heart monitoring Knowledge of recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns Breastfeeding support and lactation support experience Description: This position requires a nurse with specialized experience in Labor and Delivery. The nurse will be responsible for caring for patients undergoing labor and delivery processes. The unit operates under a couplet care model with a ratio of 1:4. The position includes weekend and call requirements. Nurses will be floating to assist other units. Experience with fetal monitoring and breastfeeding assistance is essential. Candidates should have a strong understanding of postpartum care and protocols. The facility conducts approximately 800 births per year. Knowledge of EPIC for documentation is preferred.
