Truck Mechanic-$24-28/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The role involves modifying truck chassis, body, and interior. While experience in diesel engine repair is preferred, it is not required.

Responsibilities

• Modify truck chassis, body, and interior.
• Perform drilling and bolt-style modifications on trucks.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers when applicable.
• Complete complex and detailed mechanical inspections and modifications with minimal supervision.
• Report to the Operations Manager for additional duties.
• Provide technical assistance to helpers and orient and train new employees.
• Work overtime as business needs dictate.

Essential Skills

• Experience with diesel engines, mechanical systems, and truck modifications.
• Proficiency in diesel repair, electrical systems, and engine maintenance.
• Ability to perform hydraulic system repairs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with welding and fabrication is a plus.
• Must have own toolbox.

Work Environment

Work in a fabrication environment that is dirty, dusty, and non-climate controlled. Be prepared for hands-on work in challenging conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denton, TX.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Denton,TX.
