Participate in activities and training to promote and attain regulatory compliance at the local, state, and federal level. Develop relevant patient/parent training programs and grow the clinic occupational therapy program.Essential Job Function:Evaluate patients/clients, develop a plan of care with associated goals including quantifiable physical and functional targetsProvide assessments, treatments, instructions, and other occupational therapy services according to the scope of practice limitations per state statuteRetain the responsibility for all delegated tasks to other licensees and support personnel, and ensure proper and adequate supervision of themParticipate in professional and facility enhancement programs and activities as required by the Owner or the Director of Clinical ServicesEnsure proficient services through proper patient and equipment schedulingCarry out EHS duties as designated by policy and/or by the President/Vice PresidentComply with the Facility's Comprehensive Compliance Plan (CPP), which includes but is not limited to: Business & Clinical Operations, Environmental Health & Safety, HIPAA, Human Resources, and Code of Conduct as well as all facility policies and procedures and educational requirements associated the CCPComply with all local, state and federal regulations, training and instruction requirements, as well as any other standards that govern healthcare services provisionAssist with developing and organizing patient/parent training programs to meet the needs of the families and communityCollaborate with physician offices to ensure quality of care and positive working relationships in conjunction with office administrationCultivate Crow Therapies' occupational therapy program including identifying needs and developing, implementing, and evaluating plans to meet the needs.Uphold Crow Therapies values as the core of our work environment: Positive Attitude, Ethical, Adaptability, KindnessQualifications:A graduate of a certified Occupational Therapy Program approved by the Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners.A person licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in TexasA person who demonstrates the physical and mental capabilities (practical &/or written, post-training competency test) to perform the duties required of the position.A person who can meet the physical demand level of the position.Physical Demand Capacity:Consistent with published industry PDC norms or minimally:Requires manual dexterity and general strength and enduranceLifting routinely loads of 5-35 pounds from:Floor to waistWaist to shoulderShoulder to overheadCarrying loads of 5-10# for 40-50'Pushing loads of 5-150# on casters, runners, or pulleysSustaining a grip for 1-2 minutes of 40-50#Guarding a "lift load" routinely of 120-140#Sitting for uninterrupted periods of 30-45 minutesExposure Determination:Has the potential for Hazardous Substance Exposure due to work dutiesHas the potential for Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure due to work dutiesHIPAA Status:Has been determined as eligible for access to/use of PHI & EPHI based on work duties and responsibilities in compliance with 'minimal necessary' standards
