Job Overview: Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) – Full Time

Day & Evening Positions Available

Choice Integrated HealthCare is seeking full-time Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to join our trauma-informed treatment team. We work with adolescents and adults, many with significant trauma histories and behavioral health needs in a structured, supportive environment.

This role requires maturity, emotional steadiness, and the ability to remain calm in a variety of situations. Our program emphasizes respect, accountability, and skill-building while maintaining safety for both clients and staff.

Day and evening shifts will be available.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and support to clients in an outpatient setting
• Assist with daily structure, routines, groups, and activities
• Recognize early signs of emotional dysregulation and respond appropriately
• Support clients in developing coping skills and accountability
• Maintain professional boundaries and consistent expectations
• Document interactions accurately in accordance with HIPAA and State regulations
• Collaborate with clinical and supervisory staff
• Participate in required training, including crisis intervention protocols

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, psychology, social work, or related field preferred but not required
• Experience working with high-risk youth or trauma-impacted populations preferred
• Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Willingness to complete required certifications (CPI, NCA etc.)
